PASS CHRISTIAN — The city will have its annual Art in the Pass on April 11 and April 12, marking its 28th year of hosting the festival at Memorial Park on Scenic Drive.
Art in the Pass is an event that educates spectators on different art fields, from painting to live music and food. The event is committed to giving back to its local community and future artists from Pass Christian.
Event organizers estimate 100 artists from across the region will participate. Art in the Pass also welcomes guests from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Pensacola, Florida.
“The event provides scholarships to rising high school seniors pursuing art education and significant grants for art supplies to area high schools,” event organizers said.
One of the activities listed on the event website is an art competition for local high school students. If they win, they can redeem a cash prize.
Additionally, the Gulf Marine Education Festival, which normally takes place the first Saturday of April, will take place April 11 because the first Saturday falls on Easter weekend.
