What Is the Planner?
The Southeast Mississippi Planner is a free public service from the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center that brings together local government information, community updates and official announcements from trusted public agencies across southeast Mississippi.
The Planner includes three sections:
– Neighbor Notes features a searchable calendar of community events across all 10 counties, along with brief updates about nonprofit programs, volunteer opportunities, public resources and other local happenings.
– Civic Watch provides government meeting notices, agendas and meeting minutes when available, making it easier to follow local government and stay informed about public decisions.
– News from the Source publishes official news releases and announcements from trusted city, county and state agencies, giving residents direct access to timely public information.
Together, these resources make it easier to stay informed, discover what’s happening in your community and find the information you need in one place.
How to Contribute?
We welcome submissions for Neighbor Notes, including nonprofit events, community programs, volunteer opportunities, educational workshops, fundraisers, public resources and other local updates that benefit southeast Mississippi residents.
