  • Friends of McNeill Trail Lighting held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 15 in McNeill The community holiday gathering features the annual trail lighting, photos and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a festive atmosphere for families.
  • Poplarville Christmas on Main held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 16 in downtown Poplarville The community holiday celebration features local shopping, a chili cook-off, seasonal treats, ornament decorating, and family-friendly activities at the Town Green.
  • Kid’s Annual Christmas Party held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 16 in Poplarville The free children’s event at the Poplarville Public Library includes holiday stories, cookie decorating, and a craft activity and is open to children ages 12 and under.

The new post office inside the former Ramey's shopping center on South Main Street appears nearly complete from the outside, although USPS orders Debra Jean Fetterly said interior construction remains underway.
