BILOXI — The Gulf Coast Skateparks Association will host a “Biloxi Skatepark Beautification Day” on May 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Biloxi DIY Skatepark.
The event will be volunteer based with skaters and community supporters helping to clean up the park grounds, repair and fix ramps and paint and refresh obstacles at the skatepark.
The Gulf Coast Skateparks Association is a 501c3 nonprofit, launched to address the lack of skateparks on the Gulf Coast.
Since being granted non-profit status in 2024, they’ve engaged with over 1000 skaters across 67 events, helped to develop community-driven infrastructure, promoted safety and inclusivity and won state-level awards.
The last Biloxi Skatepark Beautification Day was Sep. 13, 2025, which added 8 brand-new features to the park, painted 2000 square feet of surfaces, removed 500+ lbs. of debris and trash.
Those wanting to volunteer for the event can sign-up and select a role on SignUpGenius. There are still multiple spots available for the cleanup team, ramp repair team and paint team.
