The space will be open every second Sunday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. The free event will feature reduced light and sound levels, sensory bags and designated quiet spaces throughout the museum.

The grants, awarded to nonprofits, schools and local governments, will fund educational and celebratory programs that highlight Mississippi's role in American history.
The nationwide effort is led by an alliance of journalists, nonprofit leaders and other supporters who want to highlight the value of reliable local reporting.
The event will feature nature-themed activities such as a petting zoo, a live raptor show, a native plant sale, food trucks and kayaking tours for all skill levels.
