WIGGINS — Cannabis Care Clinic will host an event June 13 for residents seeking information about the Mississippi Medical Marijuana Program.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cannabis Care Clinic and will include information about the application process, preregistration with Mississippi Patient Voices and account setup through the Mississippi Department of Health.
Cannabis Care Clinic receptionist Bo Garris said certifications will depend on appointment availability during the event and whether patients have the required medical records.
“We would like for everybody in Mississippi to be certified for medical marijuana and know the benefits,” Garris said.
Attendees are asked to bring a Mississippi state-issued ID, $50 cash for the doctor’s visit and a debit or credit card to pay the state’s $28 online fee. Medical records also should be brought to the event or made accessible electronically.
Mississippi Patient Voices may host similar events in the future, Garris said.
