STONE COUNTY — Ms. Sew N’ Sew’s Quilt Shop will host the second Case for Smiles sewing event May 9, inviting community members to help create colorful pillowcases for children staying in hospitals.
The free volunteer event, organized in partnership with Case for Smiles Mississippi, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and aims to provide comfort and encouragement to children facing medical challenges through homemade pillowcases designed to brighten hospital rooms.
No sewing experience or supplies are required to participate. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome, with different tasks available throughout the event for anyone to contribute.
The event will focus on community involvement, creativity and giving back while supporting children during difficult medical journeys. Participants are encouraged to show up ready to help.
