  • Blessing of the Hunt held on Aug. 16 in Purvis
    This annual tradition gathers hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members for a ceremonial blessing to mark the hunting season. The event promotes hunting safety, conservation, and community fellowship.
  • What is True Training held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 in Purvis
    This instructional session offers guidance on skill development, safety, and effective techniques. It provides a structured, supportive environment for practical learning and community engagement.
  • Beef Cow Show held Sept. 12–13 at the Lamar County Fairgrounds, Purvis
    Participants will exhibit beef cattle, showcasing skills in animal husbandry, grooming, and showmanship. The event celebrates agricultural heritage and promotes livestock education.
  • Camp and Jam held Sept. 14–20 at the Lamar County Fairgrounds, Purvis
    This weeklong program offers music instruction, jam sessions, and performances for all ages and skill levels. It fosters cultural enrichment, skill development, and appreciation for live music.
  • 4-H Awards Banquet held Sept. 29 in Lamar County
