Nichole Cyprian, Director
With more than 16 years of professional television news experience, Nichole Cyprian is excited to return to her alma mater as director of the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center.
Nichole has worked in newsrooms across the Southeast, most recently as the senior director of news at KATC-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she was responsible for strategic growth, talent development, and news content innovation across multiple platforms. She has worked at stations in Albany, Georgia; Jackson, Mississippi (twice); Memphis, Tennessee; and her hometown of Mobile, Alabama, where she began her career after earning her broadcast journalism degree from Southern Miss in 2008.
Nichole is an Emmy Award nominee and 2019 Fellow of the Carole Kneeland Project for Responsible Journalism.
