PEARL RIVER COUNTY — Pearl River Community College recognized 677 graduates this spring, marking a major graduation season and continued workforce training efforts across South Mississippi.
The college also celebrated its largest-ever graduating class of radiologic technologists.
PRCC is a public community college that serves students across a six-county district and beyond. The college offers academic, career, technical and workforce training programs designed to prepare students for transfer, employment or career advancement.
Dr. Karieve Valence, director of marketing and recruitment, said the college works to support students from the application process through enrollment.
“We are here to help you,” Valence said. “Once we help you apply for admission, we will hold your hand throughout the entire enrollment process.”
Valence said PRCC serves first-time freshmen, transfer students, high school graduates, adult learners and students seeking dual credit courses or specific program degrees.
“We want to make sure that we’re providing workforce training programs with the requirements of business industries, educational and public service agencies, basic skills, specific job skills and technical skills training,” Valence said.
PRCC’s next graduation ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. May 28 for adult education students at the Marvin R. White Coliseum.
