Jada Austin serves as the administrative lead for the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center at The University of Southern Mississippi.

She is a recent grad from Southern Miss where she earned her degree in strategic communication. During her time at Southern Miss, she served in the Student Media Center in the School of Media and Communication as the Strategic Communication Student Director. While a student, she was in the Pi Beta Phi sorority, an ambassador for the Student Alumni Association, and an intern for the Alumni Association.
