What Is the Planner?

The Southeast Mississippi Planner is a resource from the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center
designed to keep residents informed about local government activity, public meetings, community
events, and regional announcements. The Planner serves as a centralized, easy-to-use hub for
trustworthy, county-specific information across southeast Mississippi.

Who Is Behind the Planner?

The Planner is produced by student journalists working at the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center. These students are guided by full-time RHCJC staff members — veteran journalists with professional newsroom experience — who provide oversight, training and editorial support. Together, the team curates and verifies information that connects residents to public life in their communities.
